So I am thinking about doing this whole six-week One Hundred Push Ups challenge. I mean, all this running is great cardio and good for my legs - although, it's really bulking them up, rather than slimming them down - but what about my arms!?
I mean, the program seems fairly simple - there's a six week program where you start out with an Initial Test to find out where you are (with my knees on the ground I'm a 3, on my toes I'm a -5) - and then progress from your current standings as the weeks pass by. Only three times a week with appropriate sore-armed breaks? I can do that!!
So anyone with me? Let's do it and get some arms envious of Madonna*.
*Okay, maybe not quite that masculine - but as chiseled as I can get in six weeks!

I think I may be in on this one...maybe I'll even see if my support team (aka MOHs and BMs) want to join in...heck, maybe Mr. Y would even try it out!
Nice to know someone else out there is a 3-on-the-knees push up girl!
I think I'll try this too! I haven't done the fitness test (I'm at work, shhhhh....) but I'll do that when I get home and see where I am!
I've been working out with weights for several months now, and I can definitely see a difference in tone and shape - but I NEED CARDIO! Actually, I need somebody to come and be my motivation, someone to kind of "force" me to do it, because I'm lazy most of the time and have no want to do cardio! ;-)
Sorry, no can do. I'm indulging in my post-wedding summer-long bender. It involves daily doses of Cheezits and Red Bull, and frankly, push-ups just don't fit into the picture.
Can I catch up in, say, September?
Hi Kate,
I'm sorry I didn't reply until now. I didn't get any notifications of the comments.
RYC: Homegrown corn is super sweet because you eat it pretty much as soon as you harvest them. We have some more so we'll probably be eating them this weekend.
I will do this one with you. So do you at a push each time that you do it. It is only three times a week right? I need to get my arms together for my wedding, but everytime I do arm exercises it hurts. My arms are the weakess part of my body. I have be done heavy cardio and focusing on my stomach. I really do not want to look like the stay puff marshmellow on my wedding day.
I start tonight folks - anyone who's in with me, take the Fitness Test and get moving. We'll check in tomorrow!
I just finished day 1 of week 3 and it almost killed me! But I guess it's worth it in the end... (I hope)
I'm game. I need to get off this lazy bum and on the fitness train. Seriously. Maybe if I admit to on here I will keep up with it...
Ok. Its on. I'm in. I might be late, but I'm in. Let's do this thing.
PS - I'm a TOTAL wimp, but need this so bad. My dress is strapless and backless, y'all. EEK!
