CHIC, CHEAP AND SHORT.

I love what Dennis Basso has brought to Gilt this morning. The little white/cream dresses with the cute simple embroidery would be perfect for today's modern bride. Short dresses are IN and these would normally have the hefty price tag of the rest of the short chic wedding trend - however, these are on sample sale at Gilt right now. He's even brought in a few cute little cropped jackets that would be adorable over any wedding gown. Hop over to Gilt Groupe when you get a chance - until then, I'll share with you a few of my favorite pieces.

Satin Empire Dress with Heart Shaped Bust
Original Price $3,500
Gilt Final Sale Price $528
Absolutely adorable! This is my favorite of the bunch.

A close second - this dress is so retro chic!

Satin Elbow Sleeve Scoopneck Dress

Gilt Final Sale Price $528
Just look at the detail on the beading!

Empire Dress with Embellished Hem
Original Price $2,800

Form fitting, but with a notched neckline and gorgeously beaded hem. You could pair it with the bolero below.

Silk Cropped Bolero with Embellished Trim

Gilt Final Sale Price $248
Looks awesome over the dress above - or the dress of your choice.

Satin Short Sleeve Scoopneck Empire Gown

Gilt Final Sale Price $998
A modest, but beautifully retro long version.

What do you think?

eeewwww, I don't know? I couldn't see a bride in this, not even a modern bride, but maybe I'm old fashioned, very cute, and I love the idea of wearing for the rehearsal dinner, maybe a little foreshadowing :) Very cute, and chic but not for moi
