PLEASE TAKE A MOMENT.

Okay Sacramentans (and NorCal Residents), here is your time to shine. I'm going to take a moment away from wedding planning to discuss a topic that means a great deal to me: food.

I'm not kidding.

Corti Bros. has been an East Sacramento landmark for over 38 years. My Grandparents shopped there and my Mom and Dad shopped there - it's in my family history. I'm so sad to say that they have been given 60 days to move out of their present location to make way for some sort of Raley's off-shoot. This truly saddens me. Read more on the story here.

If you care as much as I do about the local business owners and wish to support the well-loved East Sac Italian Grocery store, please sign this petition, to allow them a few more months transition - and to save us from a Christmas without Corti.

I stumbled on your blog through Jumping the Broom Blog and was surprised to see a store my parents used to shop in on your blog! Yeah, I remember going there with my mom after we would visit my dad at the Caltrans lab down the street. They always gave us kids breadsticks. Ah Corti Bros.

Wow I'm extremely late on this one... Corti Bros is still there right? I grew up in that store, my dad used to produce the commercials for them when they advertised on TV :(
